Streamer N3ON Signs Record Deal With EMPIRE For Collaborative Project
Content creator and streamer N3ON has signed a record deal with EMPIRE, marking what the label calls the first agreement of its kind with a streamer. Under the deal, EMPIRE will release a collaborative project featuring N3ON and his network of creatives, per Billboard.
Jake Moritt from Proper Loud, a management company specializing in connecting creators to music opportunities, joins the project’s creative team.
N3ON has already established connections in the music industry, performing with NAV and Flo Rida and participating in studio sessions with Big Sean and Murda Beatz. He also helped popularize the Billboard Hot 100 track “Tweaker” by Gelo during one of his streams earlier this year.
Executive Support
EMPIRE executives express confidence in the partnership. “We’ve been interested in partnering with a streamer for a while now, but it just had to make sense and be the right fit,” Nima Etminan, COO of EMPIRE, said in a statement, noting N3ON’s serious approach to his work and humble attitude despite his popularity.
Harrison Golding, EMPIRE’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing, described N3ON as “a key force of internet culture” whose “platform and collaborations with today’s biggest music artists is breaking through the noise.”
Creator-to-Artist Pathway
This deal follows recent trends of content creators moving into music production. Similar to DDG, who recently achieved a number-one album with “blame the chat,” N3ON represents the growing intersection between streaming platforms and traditional music channels.
“I am grateful for this opportunity, and I am ready to show the world what this network of creatives can make. Happy I can be a resource for others even more,” N3ON said in a statement. The announcement comes shortly after N3ON connected with Ye (Kanye West) in Spain.
